Big Brother Australia stars Hannah Campbell and Sophie Budack reveal they each gained 5kg while participating in Seven’s reboot

Many of Big Brother Australia’s roommates lost weight while living at home.

But Hannah Campbell, 26, and Sophie Budack, 25, both claim to have gained 5kg due to their time restarting Seven.

“When I came back to Perth 5kg heavier after @bigbrotherau …,” Hannah wrote on Wednesday under an Instagram legacy of her as a child.

Hannah left the series on Day 27, which was filmed in April, while Sophie just marked her 33rd day on Tuesday’s episode and is tipped to make it to the last four.

Sophie wrote to Hannah under the post, sharing, “I came back 6 lbs heavier.”

“Everyone in the house lost weight, but of course I joined (Soz roommates, I certainly ate more than my portion of rations),” Hannah claimed.

The housemates received a limited shopping budget for several weeks, while other challenges gave them access to fast food parties, alcohol and treats.

When asked if the weight gain figure had been exaggerated, Hannah asserted not, laughing: “Yes, 5 kg in 30 days. Not ideal.’

“Even worse was when I got home from BB, no gyms were open,” Hannah told Daily Mail Australia, adding, “And footy has been canceled!”

Hannah had left Sydney to travel home to Perth for a day before closing the borders to Western Australia on April 5.
