Is DIY a thing of the past? The humble handyman is now the most requested tradition in Australia – plumbers and electricians strike
- Handymen are the most in demand trade in all of Australia except Tasmania
- In Tasmania there is more demand for chimney sweeps than other traders
- Cleaners are the second most sought after professionals in the ACT
- Mechanics took second place in the NT because of the tough driving conditions
A new survey has found that handymen are the most requested traders in the country, topping the most wanted list in all states except one.
Service.com.au, a web portal that connects customers with merchants, said Tuesday that handymen, plumbers and electricians are the most sought after in Australia.
Only Tasmania encountered the handyman trend, with more requests for chimney sweeps than any other type of trader.
Service.com, a web portal that connects customers with merchants, said in its national survey on Tuesday that handymen were the most requested service in all Australian states except Tasmania (inventory)
& # 39; It's probably not surprising, given that Tasmanians are more likely to burn the flames and fully use the fireplace in the winter, & # 39; said Service.com.au director Jacob Banks.
& # 39; Most people would probably not even think that chimney sweeps still exist today, but our data shows that they are and that there is a lot of demand for them. & # 39;
The research found that handymen, electricians, and plumbers were the most sought after in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia.
& # 39; We have gone through all the numbers of all booking requests and our research has shown that our two Australian areas and Tasmania stand out from the rest, with other service requirements taking precedence & # 39 ;, said Mr. Banks.
Service.com.au said cleaners took second place in the ACT, while the tough driving conditions of the Northern Territory placed mobile engineers in their number two position.
The web portal claims it has connected more than half a million people to local commerce and helped 30,000 service providers grow their business.
The survey was based on the number of vacancies that were posted on the website in the past year.
