Jude Law looked completely unrecognizable in a new role he promised would “give kids nightmares” as he transformed into the terrifying Captain Hook.
Initial photos of the British actor, 50, show him sporting long tousled hair and a full moustache as he dons a weather-worn captain’s uniform.
Jude showed off the character’s iconic hook in the creepy snap as he prepares to play the antagonist in the upcoming Disney movie Peter Pan & Wendy.
The father-of-seven, who recently welcomed his youngest child, said he was thrilled by the fact that the film’s trailer portrayed him as scary.
He said: I think it’s important. Part of childhood is the nightmares and fears we all have… and Hook embodies that, like many Disney villains.

Jude told Fox TV, “It was something I wanted to get out. I didn’t want to be the subject of childhood nightmares, but it seemed important to me.
“You go back to the book and they talk about him as the only pirate Long John Silver was afraid of.
“But this version has wonderful details where you look back and understand a little bit why he’s there and why he acts the way he does.”
Jude also boasted about his real mustache, adding, “I was lucky enough to have a huge beard just before I played Hook, so all I knew when I played him was that it had to have my own mustache.” I didn’t want to stick anything. It wouldn’t have been authentic
“So luckily I had a huge mustache that I had to wax every day and I became obsessed with it. That became an important part’
