An airline passenger sparked a fierce debate after revealing how he reported a six-year-old boy to a flight attendant after she accidentally covered him in glitter and turned him into the “flight from hell”.
Detailing her now-viral story anonymously on the subreddit, ‘r/AmItheA**hole,’ the man recounted how he was sitting next to the young woman ‘also known as Glitter Godzilla’ on a ‘full’ and delayed flight, along with her mother.
In an attempt to keep the girl busy, the mother had given her a ‘craft load’, including a glue stick, markers, paper and craft sticks, but things got messy when the glitter came out.
To his horror, the glitter and glue went “everywhere” and the man said it looked like he had been “dazzled on his lower half” with the mixture on his shoes, backpack and jeans.

Eager to resolve the matter in a non-adversarial way, he said that when he got up to go to the bathroom, he “quietly shared the situation with a flight attendant” and “she promised to address it discreetly.”
However, when she returned to her seat, the mother was angry.
Continuing the story, he said: “I don’t know what the flight attendant said, but the mother claimed that she was discriminating against mothers and since the flight was delayed, she was just trying to keep her son entertained.”
He then started to raise his voice, accusing me of being ‘a selfish man who doesn’t understand children’. All this despite the fact that my lower half now looks dazzled.
“There were no other seats available, so I was stuck for the rest of the flight with this lady’s verbal attacks.
‘The flight attendants looked at me sympathetically, but did not want to intervene. Of course, the mother gave me a final f*** you when we disembarked.
I travel a lot and this was the flight from hell. Not to mention, it was pretty embarrassing at the airport. Not that he can blame people who notice.
After recounting his flying ordeal, the man asked the Reddit community if he was wrong to get “some help dealing with what looked like a glow attack.”
‘Should I just suck it up and become a human art project?’ she joked.
To date, the glitter-filled story has garnered over 1,800 comments, with some Reddit users questioning the man’s response.

After recounting his flying ordeal, the man asked the Reddit community if he was wrong to get “some help dealing with what looked like a glow attack.”

Detailing his now-viral story anonymously on the subreddit, ‘r/AmItheA**hole’, the man recounted how he was sitting next to the young woman on a ‘packaged’ flight, along with her mother.

While some criticized the man, most Reddit users said he was correct.
One commenter wrote: ‘Not the **hole at all, but you should have said something directly to her, and if that failed you told the assistant.
“Just be direct, let him know that what your child is doing is not okay and you would like him to intervene to prevent it from affecting him.” If that fails, scale.
Another Redditor slammed him for not being a parent, to which he replied, “Yeah, that’s right, I’m not. But even as a non-parent, I know it’s not appropriate to act like this in front of a child.
‘In the end I was able to get off and go home, but this kid is stuck he doesn’t have that luxury. As time goes by, I feel worse for the boy.
While some criticized the man, most Reddit users said he was right.
Speaking of his own experience with youngsters, one father was sympathetic to him, writing: ‘What bloody idiot brings glitter on a flight?
‘Every time I’m packing activities for my kids, I have a list of no-no’s. It makes noise?
‘It’s a no. Can it be used as a projectile? Also a no. Does it make a mess? No no no. Is it generally annoying? It’s a no.
One reader also quipped, “This was really brilliance from visiting a strip club.”
The man offered a dose of humor in return, writing: ‘Damn you got me Reddit! Please don’t tell my wife the truth.
