Hamish Macdonald has been revealed as the new presenter of Sydney Mornings on ABC Radio.
She will replace Sarah Macdonald after she was unceremoniously dumped by the national broadcaster in December.
Macdonald will present the show four days a week, while journalist Kathryn Robinson will host the show on Friday.
“Firstly, I would like to pay tribute to the hard work and dedication of Sarah Macdonald,” Macdonald said. “I know these are big shoes to fill.”
“I’m looking forward to putting my head down, getting to work from Monday and serving the wonderful 702 audience in what will be a great year of news for Sydney.”
Your reference to 702 is the wavelength of ABC Radio Sydney on the dial.
Speculation had mounted that Macdonald would become the new host following revelations that his namesake’s contract would not be renewed.
