Halsey confirmed she is engaged to Canadian actor and singer Avan Jogia via X (formerly known as Twitter), hours after performing at the Video Music Awards.
After taking the stage at UBS in New York on Wednesday night, the 29-year-old pop star, who uses she/they pronouns, gave her fans an exciting update on her love life.
After seeing a social media post that referred to Jogia as her boyfriend, the Without Me singer corrected the statement by replying: ‘***fiancé Avan Jogia.’
Earlier in the evening, she joked that they were looking forward to walking down the aisle one day when asked if they planned to get married.
“I hope so,” the mother of one boy enthused about whether she wants to marry Jogia. “Avan is the best.”

She continued: “He’s one of the best things that’s ever happened to me in my life. And every day I spend with him is a day I feel like I’m with my best friend.”
Additionally, the About-Face founder raved about how he’s “best friends” with his three-year-old son, Ender, whom he shares with his ex Alev Aydin.

In July, the couple sparked engagement rumors after they were spotted getting cozy during a romantic picnic.
During the outing, she was seen sporting a green emerald surrounded by smaller, sparkling diamonds on her left hand.
Halsey and Avan, who keep their relationship mostly out of the public eye, first sparked romance rumors in June 2023 when they were spotted on a trip to Spain.
Later in September, the couple was spotted together once again as they held hands on a date in Los Angeles.
The following month, the couple made their relationship Instagram official, where they showed off chic leather ensembles designed by Luis De Javier. Halsey and Jogia also flaunted their Halloween costumes on social media.

Earlier this year in April, the two stars made their red carpet debut as they attended the premiere of Monkey Man in West Hollywood.
She stunned in a fitted corset-style mini dress, while Avan looked dapper in a black pinstripe suit for the festivities.
A few months earlier, in May, the lovebirds also made an appearance at the 2024 Golden Gala in Los Angeles.
The singer and actor wore outfits for the event by Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
In a recent TikTok video shared earlier this month, Jogia can be seen filming the couple in a mirror’s reflection as she touches up her makeup. She added the caption: “When I think he’s taking pretty pictures of me.”

In an Instagram post posted in June, she explained to her followers: ‘In 2022, I was first diagnosed with lupus SLE and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.’
‘Both diseases are currently under control or in remission, and I will likely have them for the rest of my life.’
However, she added positively: “After a difficult start, I gradually managed to get everything under control with the help of amazing doctors.”
“After two years, I feel better and I’m more grateful than ever to have music to fall back on,” the mother of one continued. “I can’t wait to get back to where I belong: with all of you. Singing and screaming my heart out.”
On June 4, Halsey also released her single, The End, which is also on her upcoming, yet-untitled fifth studio album.
In a separate post, she also opened up about her health battle in a series of videos that appeared to document the singer receiving infusions and also showed her breaking down in tears.

In 2022, Halsey shared on Instagram that she had been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogre’s syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, known as MCAS, and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, known as POTS.
The singer also suffers from endometriosis and gave her fans an update earlier this year in March after undoing a procedure.
At the time, she posted a photo on social media and explained that she was “going back into diapers” during the recovery process.
The Bad At Love singer also previously revealed her diagnosis of ADHD and bipolar disorder.
