if Halo Infinite Developer 343 Industries’ latest video is everything to go by, the upcoming Winter Update promises to be a big one. The free update, expected to release on November 8, finally adds things like the long-delayed network campaign co-op and Forge modes, and 343 shared a closer look at what to expect. in a nearly 13-minute video published on Wednesday.
The Forge mode, which is launching in beta with the new update, will allow players to create their own multiplayer maps and modes. Since then it has been a staple of the series halo 3and in endless, it looks like it will provide a robust set of tools and even a powerful visual scripting language. Personally, I’m pretty excited to take a look at the wild things other people are making.
For multiplayer, one of the biggest changes is a new system that gives you XP just for playing the game. Halo Infinite’s The current progression system relies largely on completing challenges to level up, which is a common source of frustration for many players. This new match XP system should make it easier to progress without having to face specific challenges. 343 also adds two new maps (built with Forge) and a new mode.
The Winter Update is just a few weeks away, with more to come next year. Season 3 launches on March 7 and will add things like new maps to the Arena and Big Team Battle modes and an in-game reporting system.
