Sofía Vergara has told why she decided not to have more children after welcoming her son Manolo 32 years ago.
The 51-year-old told the digital edition of People that it just wasn’t the right time to have a baby with her husband of seven years, Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello.
“There are things in life that may seem like good ideas, but they are not,” he explained to the site.
“I was already a mother,” she said. Vergara has a son Manolo, 32, with her first husband, Joe González.
“I know what it means to be a good mother or to try to be the best mother possible, and that takes a lot of sacrifices, it takes a lot of energy,” she shared.
And she described how she felt: ‘I totally respect that someone wants to be a mother after 50. I didn’t think that, because of my career, the way I live my life, the way my marriage was, that it was fair to bring a child into this world, and I “No I’m going to be able to give 100 percent.”

The siren did not mention her long legal battle with her ex Nick Loeb, who threatened to use her frozen embryos that were created in 2013.
Sofía did talk about being very close to her son. “It’s great that I had him young, because now I’m going to be 52 and he’s 32,” she said.
“Sometimes I wish I was older, because I would have been more mature, more prepared to be a mother, but that’s what I got and what happened,” she said.
‘So I moved on and tried not to look back, because it is what it is. But it’s funny because I grew up with my son.’
She had her son when she was a teenager: ‘It happened to me very, very young. I wasn’t even 20, so I don’t even remember much of my life without being a mother.’
Sofía also stated that motherhood ‘changes you, and it is very rewarding and also gives you a lot of headaches.’
But she is more than ready to have grandchildren.
