Halle Berry briefly talks about Drake’s new single cover for ‘Slime You Out’.
The rapper released his new song, which marks his first collaboration with SZA and is the first from his upcoming album For all dogs, on Friday. The single’s cover features an image of Berry losing weight at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
Drake and SZA posted the same single cover to their respective Instagram accounts on Wednesday, teasing their upcoming collaboration without outright saying what it would be or when it would arrive.
Berry shared an Instagram post after the single was released, a pink square appeared with the words “Sometimes you gotta be the bigger man… even if you’re a woman!” am working on it. In the comments section, an artist who goes by the name ‘slicartist’ asked the actress what her thoughts were on Drake using her photo for the single.
“I didn’t get my consent,” she wrote. “That’s not cool, I thought better of him!” She then followed up that comment with another, adding: “Hence my post today. When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on!”
Drake announced the single arrived at his tour stop in Austin, Texas, on Monday and said he knows his fans are excited about the album, which comes out September 22, so he wanted to release a single sooner rather than later.
“What a time, what a time. I appreciate you all,” he said during the tour stop with 21 Ssavage. “Deep, by the way, I do. It’s a lot of love.”
“Slime You Out” isn’t the only collab SZA released on Friday. The singer also released an acoustic version of her hit song “Snooze,” featuring Justin Bieber, who just starred in her music video for the original version of the song.
