Halle and Van have been dating since 2020 and the Monster’s Ball star has been dealing with aging and menopause lately.
‘Men become sexy, they grow gray, they are silver foxes. We are simply old and emaciated.
At 58, the Catwoman star is on a crusade to change the narrative about women aging.
“When I found out I was peri and that none of my doctors had even mentioned this stage of life to me, I was excited to get as much information as I could about me and for myself,” Berry said. Glamor.
The more she learned about what her own body was going through, the more she wanted to help other women in the same situation, so she launched Respin, a health and wellness platform that serves women during their menopause experience.
“I realized that if I knew so little (about menopause), I’m sure many other women have the same little information,” she says.
Since then, Berry has lobbied for the bipartisan Act to Advance Menopause Care and Women’s Health in Midlife.
She also appears alongside four medical experts in MasterClass’s The Magic of Menopause, now streaming.

‘I had probably been at this for 10 years and had no idea. I thought I was going crazy. I had really bad memory loss. I had a hard time concentrating,” Halle told the outlet about her first symptoms.
‘I flooded my laundry room three times and left my keys stuck in the doors. I could never find my phone. “I would enter the rooms and I wouldn’t remember why I was there,” he explained.
‘These were things that were not part of my makeup before this period. I started thinking, “Oh God, am I starting to get early-onset dementia? Is something happening to my brain?”
The Swordfish star said she became very agitated and found herself wanting to fight over the smallest things, another trait that was unusual for her.
‘I was having trouble sleeping and I guess sleep deprivation is a form of torture. I felt like I was falling apart and no one seemed to be able to identify me.
‘Everyone just said, “Oh, it’s just a stage of life. You’re getting old. Just deal with it.” But I didn’t feel old. “I didn’t feel like it was time to pack up and go out to pasture, but that’s what everyone started telling me,” he explained.
Even when she told her doctor that having sex felt like she was being attacked with razor blades, he initially diagnosed it as “the worst case of herpes he had ever seen.”
But it wasn’t herpes at all, it was the hormonal changes I was going through.

‘I felt crazy, alone and scared. “I felt embarrassed,” she admitted, noting that she had no words to explain what was happening, and even once she did, she couldn’t explain a headache on set as menopause. No one would understand.
When Halle discovered that everything she was experiencing traced back to perimenopause, she began researching and along the way realized she had a platform to help other women at that time in their lives.
In May, the star joined a bipartisan group of senators to push legislation that would allocate $275 million to menopause research and education.
Shouting: ‘I’m in menopause!’ At the demonstration, on the steps of the United States Capitol, Berry showed his determination to age “gracefully” and naturally.
