Halle Bailey and DDG have split after almost three years together.
The Little Mermaid actress, 24, entered into a relationship with rapper DDG, 26, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., in early 2022.
Bailey and the musical artist share son Halo, born in December 2023, and showed off their baby’s face for the first time in July.
But on Thursday it was revealed that, although “it wasn’t easy,” they decided to call it quits.
‘After much reflection and honest conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it is the best path forward for both of us,” DDG wrote on Instagram.

Adding: ‘I appreciate the time we have spent together and the love we have shared. Despite the change in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true.’
Halle has yet to publicly acknowledge the split, but DDG concluded his statement by noting that he and Halle intend to “co-parent” their little one in the future and asked fans to respect his “understanding and support” during this time.
She said: “As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we have built and the beautiful moments we have shared.”

Halle does not usually comment on her private life and had even given birth several weeks before revealing it to the world.
At the time, he explained, “There was no way I was going to share the greatest joy in my world with anyone.” Halo was my gift. “He is the greatest blessing and I had no obligation to expose him, myself or my family to that.”
The actress and the rapper first sparked romance rumors in January 2022 and a few months later, in March, they made their budding romance public.
At that time, DDG jumped on his main Instagram page to share a birthday tribute to Halle that has since been deleted.
