Half Price Black Friday Deal: Amazon Echo Show smart displays are getting massive discounts
If you’re looking for a cheap smart display in this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, consider an Amazon Echo Show, especially since they now sell for half the price now at Amazon UK, with smaller discounts also available at Amazon US.
The Echo Show 5 is a 5-inch screen model, on sale now for £ 39.99, down from £ 79.99. The larger Echo Show 8, an 8-inch model, is also retails for £ 59.99 after the price was reduced from £ 119.99.
The half-price promotion is only active in the UK, but you can also buy the Echo Show 8 for just € 5 $ 104.99 in the US (after a $ 25 discount), or the Echo Show 5 for only $ 74.99 (after $ 15 discount).
The Echo Show range is a screen-based alternative to a smart Amazon Echo speaker, offering both a visual and an audible interface. You can give it voice commands through the Alexa smart assistant, but the screen is available to show you the time, answer questions, and even load and watch Amazon Prime movies in the Prime Video app.
These tiny screens don’t have a very high resolution, and the lack of the YouTube app is a bit frustrating, but there’s no denying that you’re getting a lot for the price. A physical camera shutter should make you feel a little safer from prying eyes too.
