Hakim Ziyech helped Chelsea kick off the pre-season with a win after scoring a hat-trick against Peterborough on Saturday.
The Blues defeated Posh 6-1, despite missing some of their star players as they rest after this summer’s European Championship.
However, their absence allowed several youngsters and forgotten men to prove their worth to Thomas Tuchel at the Champions League winners’ training base in Cobham.

Ross Barkley was among those who made a surprise appearance for the Blues after being loaned out to Aston Villa last season.
The 27-year-old performed exceptionally in Chelsea’s first friendly for the season and received praise for his contribution.
Danny Drinkwater was another player who had the chance to impress the Chelsea manager on Saturday afternoon after returning from a loan spell in Turkey with Kasimpasa.

He started in Tuchel’s 3-4-3 formation, despite his last competitive game for the club being 1077 days ago.
Drinking Water was also joined by the likes of Wayne Cumming, Trevoh Chalobah, Jake Clarke-Salter and Malang Sarr. Cumming put in a solid performance between the sticks for Chelsea, but was later replaced by Lucas Bergstrom.
Davide Zappacosta and Marcos Alonso also played for the Blues as fullbacks, while Barkley operated in the center of the field.
Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi proved too much for Peterborough to handle and broke through their defenses on multiple occasions.

Abraham and Pulisic even gave Chelsea a two-goal lead en route to halftime. However, it was supersub Ziyech who hit the last nail in the coffin.
The Moroccan not only got himself a hat-trick, but also a tick in Tuchel’s book, before fellow substitute Armando Broja closed the game with the final goal of the game.
The Blues take on Bournemouth, Arsenal and Tottenham in their pre-season campaign before taking on Europa League winner Villarreal in the UEFA Super Cup.
Chelsea hope these games will serve them well ahead of their opening game of the 2021-2022 Premier League season against Crystal Palace on August 14.
