Prince William showed off his new beard in a video for Team GB alongside the Princess of Wales last month.
The Prince of Wales, 42, looked rather unshaven as he praised British Olympians after the Games in Paris.
However, this was not the first time William had been seen sporting a beard. In 2008, when he was 26, he sported one when he attended Christmas Day church service at Sandringham.
King Charles sported an impressive beard at times in his youth, including in 1976. And his brother, Prince Andrew, sported a thick stubble beard in 1983.
As for Prince Harry, he has had a beard for years, but claimed in his memoir Spare that his facial hair caused a fight with his brother before he married Meghan Markle in 2018.
She claimed William was left “furious” when his grandmother Queen Elizabeth gave Harry permission to keep his beard for the wedding.
Abroad, King Felipe of Spain has been sporting a beard for several years, as has King Frederick of Denmark and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.
It looks like the beard might be here to stay, as Prince William visited the Saatchi Gallery to see Homelessness: Reframed, a groundbreaking exhibition.
