Hairy Bikers star Si King has thanked fans for their continued support as his new book tops the charts following the death of his co-star Dave Myers.
Dave announced he was receiving treatment for cancer in May 2022 and bravely kept the public updated on his progress in a series of emotional television specials.
Sadly, at the end of February, the chef passed away with his family and friends by his side, his colleague and lifelong friend Si revealed.
The duo first appeared on our screens in 2006 and have amassed over 30 different projects, selling 6 million copies of their 30 cookbooks.
Their latest, Fast & Fresh by The Hairy Dieters, focuses on fast, tasty and healthy meals.

After its release on Thursday, the publication reached number one on the Amazon book charts.
Shortly before it became available, Si shared a short clip on Instagram and said, “It’s a book that Dave and I really enjoyed working on.” It’s a lovely book and we had great joy working on it together. Dave was very proud of it, so here it is.
‘Thank you for your continued support, it does not go unnoticed. Much love and I hope you enjoy Fast and Fresh.’
Dave’s death caused great grief among the general public, who mourned the loss of one of the BBC’s most popular figures.
Si met Dave when they were both working in the film industry (Dave as a makeup artist and Si as a location manager) and they were brought together by their love of food and motorcycles.
Throughout their career, the best friends have earned a reputation as the friendly faces of TV cooking, with 31 different projects since they first debuted on the BBC in 2006.
dave was married to Lilliana Orzac, whom he met while filming Hairy Bikers in Romaniain 2011 in the star’s hometown of Barrow, Cumbria and was stepfather to her two children, Izabelle and Sergiu, from a previous relationship.
Taking to social media a week after his funeral, Alpine F1 aircraft mechanic Sergiu said: “It’s taken me a while to write this because it’s hard to think about and I still can’t believe you’re no longer with us.”

Izabelle, rather, changed her profile photo to a sweet photo of her and Dave smiling at the camera, accompanied by a simple “heart” emoji.

Dave had previously spoken fondly of his devoted stepchildren, and Liliana paid tribute to him as a “wonderful stepfather” in the days after his death.
He admitted that he regretted not having had children, however when he met Liliana he became part of his children’s lives and became their stepfather.
He said: ‘A big regret of mine for a long time was not having children. When I married Lil, I already had a family already formed with two stepchildren.
It came after Lilliana revealed life feels “empty and sad” without her husband Hairy Biker as she vowed to “laugh and love like Dave” and “move on” through the pain in a heartbreaking online post.
The TV chef reportedly left a £1.4million windfall to his wife as she was named the sole shareholder of his company after his death.
In 2022, Dave revealed that he had lost his famous beard as a result of undergoing chemotherapy for his cancer, while talking about it on his Agony Uncles podcast.

The Sun reported that the documents confirm that Liliana now has full control of the company.
She was reportedly appointed director of Dave’s production company shortly before he revealed his diagnosis in 2022, according to Companies House records seen by the publication.
It has been reported that she took over Dave’s shares in the companies he co-owned with Si. The details of her will have not yet been made public.
His death was followed by outpouring of grief from the general public, who mourned the loss of one of the BBC’s most popular figures, who also starred in Strictly Come Dancing in 2013.
And motorcyclists took to the streets for a memorial ride to pay tribute, many of them wearing T-shirts with his image as Si said his friend “would have loved” the gesture.
