Harris is close to securing the nomination after Biden announced Sunday that he will not seek re-election and that his current vice president should be the next Democratic leader.
If that’s the case, he’ll need to find a No. 2 before his battle with Donald Trump in this fall’s presidential election.
And incredibly, Saban’s name has been put forward for the job.
The former Alabama Crimson Tide coach, who won an incredible six national titles in his iconic 17-year tenure with the team, is listed by sportsbook BetOnline as a longshot for the vice presidential job.

The 72-year-old supported Joe Manchin when he ran for the Senate as a Democrat in 2018, though it is unclear whether he would be willing to enter the world of politics.
Alabama Democrats urged him to run against Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville when he retired from training earlier this year.
However, there was never any indication that he planned to run for office.
