Gwyneth Paltrow sent a surprise message of support to the Princess of Wales following the royal’s triumphant return to public life over the weekend.
The Princess of Wales, 42, joined the Royal Family for Trooping the Color celebrations on Saturday, after revealing in a statement that she has “good days and bad days” with chemotherapy treatment.
On Saturday night, the Prince and Princess of Wales posted a series of images on Instagram and thanked their fans for “making this a day to remember.”
The post, which featured a photo of William, Kate and their children on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, racked up more than 1.4 million likes on Instagram and received a gushing comment from Gwyneth Paltrow.
The actress, who is a friend of Meghan Markle, addressed the princess and wrote: “I am very happy to see you so happy and well.”

The post racked up more than 1.4 million likes from fans and received this gushing comment from Gwyneth Paltrow.
The mother of two signed her comment, which was liked by more than 5,300 users, with a red love heart emoji.
In May 2023, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were reported to have enjoyed a meal at a Michelin-starred sushi restaurant in Montecito with Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband, television producer Brad Fulchuk.
The royal couple were also joined by Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden, who is the lead guitarist of the band Good Charlotte.
Meghan Markle’s evening with Gwyneth Paltrow came just weeks after the duchess’ trademark application for The Tig was approved, meaning she could get her lifestyle blog back. It was also the first time Prince Harry was seen after spending just 28 hours in the UK for King Charles’ coronation.
In the wake of this, speculation was rife that Meghan’s site could rival Gwyneth’s multimillion-dollar company, Goop.
Meghan first launched the website, which she called her “passion project”, in 2014, and for three years used it as her personal blog, where she talked about everything from food and travel to fashion and politics.
What’s more, Gwyneth was one of the first celebrities to send her well wishes to the Princess of Wales in March after the royal revealed she is receiving treatment for cancer in an emotional video message.
Describing the princess as a “pillar of grace and strength,” Gwyneth commented on the Instagram post: “Sending love.”

On Friday night, the Princess of Wales released a moving personal statement about her cancer treatment.
The royal said: “I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the past few months.”
“It has really made a big difference to William and I and has helped us both through some of the most difficult times.”
He continued: ‘I’m making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days.
‘On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to let your body rest. But on good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling good.
The princess then went on to say that she was “learning to be patient, especially in the face of uncertainty.”
She signed the statement with: “Thank you so much for your continued understanding and to everyone who has so bravely shared their stories with me.”
Over the weekend, Meghan Markle sent a new batch of jam and dog biscuits from her American Riviera Orchard brand to polo player Nacho Figueras.
