Guy Sebastian has claimed he’s “not the bad guy” in breaking his silence on the ongoing feud between him and his neighbour, blasting the allegations against him as a “complete fabrication”.
Phillip Hanslow, 66, has been accused of threatening to kill the musician and tearing down the fence of his adjoining property in Maroubra, eastern Sydney, during an alleged altercation on January 23.
Hanslow accused Sebastian of towering over him with a brick during a fierce confrontation, and the 66-year-old appeared in court on Thursday.
During a television interview on Friday morning, Sebastian claimed that a lot had been said about the court case “that is not true”.
“This is an ongoing thing, not an isolated event, there was something that happened between me and him where I basically asked him to stop damaging my property,” he said.
Guy Sebastian has claimed he’s “not the bad guy” in his first TV interview about the ongoing feud between him and his neighbour.
“There were some things that were said on his part that forced me to call the police,” he alleged.
Sebastian insisted that it was not ‘me against him’, stressing that he was not the one who took an apprehended violence warrant.
“It is the police who decided to take the initiative to take out an AVO,” he continued.
‘As a public person, I will, there will be things that will be said, but it’s like where do I start?
‘There was something alleged yesterday and things in the paper today that were completely made up.
“I know it’s more of a story to change the narrative so that I’m the bad guy in some way, but it’s not entirely true.”

Mr. Hanslow is seen being arrested in front of his house in Maroubra.
So far, the court case has focused on Hanslow’s request for footage of Sebastian from the alleged confrontation, which his high-profile lawyer, Bryan Wrench, said could be important to the case.
“We hope the footage shows (Sebastian) standing on top of Mr Hanslow with a brick in his hand,” he told Waverley local court on Thursday.
The security camera is on Sebastian’s side of the fence, just above where the alleged altercation occurred.
Sebastian was ordered by the court to produce footage of the incident by February 23, but was granted an extension until March 9.
However, Mr Wrench told the court that the images had not been delivered before the new deadline.

Phillip Hanslow and his wife Carole have since moved out of their Maroubra home (shown right of Guy Sebastian’s imposing estate)
Mr. Wrench revealed new details of their alleged courtroom showdown.
“Mr Hanslow was fixing up his fence to match Guy Sebastian’s look at the time,” Mr Wrench told the court.
‘The fence is already finished and I think it’s a pretty good render.’
The magistrate joked: ‘What do they say? Good fences make good neighbors.
Wrench said he did not believe the matter would be resolved, indicating that he would likely go to a hearing.
The magistrate gave Sebastián until March 23 to deliver the images. Failure to pass the images could result in his arrest, and the matter would return to court in May.
Outside of court, Hanslow exclusively told Daily Mail Australia that he was not concerned about the conclusion of the case.
“I don’t really care what happens to me,” he told Daily Mail Australia.

Sebastian (pictured with his wife Jules) said much of what had been said about his court case was “not true”.
‘What are you going to do to me? Defend the AVO and fine me for the fence?
I wouldn’t even be here if Guy wasn’t famous.
The court previously heard how, during the January 23 altercation, Hanslow allegedly told the Battle Scars hitmaker “I’m going to put a bullet in your head,” but believes he actually said “one day someone’s going to put a bullet in your head.” head”. head’.
Police raided Hanslow’s home days later, arriving at the old man’s home while he was in the bathroom.
“They broke into the back of the house, they broke down the door and entered the house while I was in the bathroom and they arrested me and then they took me to the police station and I spent six and a half hours in the holding cells for just a heated one. discussion between neighbours, which I think is really exaggerated,’ Mr Hanslow previously said.
He was arrested, accused and beaten with an order of violence apprehended for the protection of Sebastián, prohibit him from contacting the singer or setting foot on his property.
The bitter dispute began in 2013 when Sebastian, 41, and his wife Jules Egan, 43, bought a property in Maroubra, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, for $3.1 million.
But when it’s torn down to make way for their sprawling new dream home, it sparks the epic feud between the Sebastians and Mr. Hanslow.
Mr Hanslow claimed that demolition debris damaged his home when a ‘brick missile’ slammed into an outside wall, narrowly missing his living room window and his terminally ill wife Carole, who was watching the tv inside.
And he criticized the final design of Sebastian’s new house as an ugly fortress for its imposing, windowless façade, which runs all the way to the edge of his house.
Mr. Hanslow has now been thrown out of the house, believed to be owned by his wife Carol, and instead lives in a dilapidated property in Carlton with his ailing wife and their pet bird, Boo Boo.
But the former builder, who was forced into retirement by fibromyalgia, still returns to his Maroubra home to work on renovations.
