Guest slammed for the ‘horribly inappropriate’ dress she chose for her brother’s wedding – but she argues the BRIDE chose it

A young woman has been criticized for the “revealing” and “inappropriate” dress she chose for her brother’s wedding, with many claiming she wants to divert attention from the bride.

Clara* recently asked for advice on what accessories to wear for the upcoming ceremony and posted a photo of her dress in a popular Facebook group.

The Australian woman planned to wear Michael Lo Sordo’s Chainmail Split Column Maxi Dress ($1,190).

The floor-length dress is partially backless and has a hip-length slit. Its material adapts to the figure and is designed for a tight fit.

Many immediately pointed out that the sparkly silver dress is “unusual” for a guest, even a bridesmaid like Clara, and couldn’t understand why she would want to wear something so daring to her brother’s wedding.

‘It’s rude to upstage the bride on her day, even if you’re very nice! Don’t go there sweetly, you’ll attract attention if you ask for the wrong reasons,’ said one.

“Definitely not appropriate on any level for a wedding,” chided another.

One woman wrote: “In my experience, the back and side view of the dress does not fit a high-end wedding outfit.”

‘Of course not. What are you trying to do?’ one demanded. ‘

Clara was shocked by the whole reaction and revealed that the bride had chosen the dress for her.

“The designer is tailoring the dress to my body so it’s not so revealing,” she said. “The bride chose this for me.”

Some praised his good taste and suggested he ignore the criticism.

‘Awesome! You’ll look unreal!’ said a woman.

“The bride’s dress must be wild to outshine this one,” another added.

“This is a beautiful dress that requires no justification or explanation. I think you will look stunning and I hope you enjoy your brother’s wedding,” wrote a third.
