A huge 80s music star was spotted at Sydney Airport, looking incredibly youthful even at 66.

Belinda Carlisle turned heads on Saturday when the Heaven Is A Place On Earth hitmaker walked through the arrivals terminal dressed head-to-toe in black.

Carlisle, who rose to fame as the lead singer of the Go-Go’s, paired dark trousers with a black sweater and flat-soled shoes.

She wore her straight, strawberry blonde hair loose and cascading over her shoulders.

The Our Lips Are Sealed singer sported gold hoop earrings, several heavy bracelets and a large leopard-print handbag.

Carlisle’s The Decades Australian tour kicks off in Perth on Wednesday, with stops also planned in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

Their tour concludes on October 6 in Brisbane.

The sighting comes after Carlisle opened up about being an “older singer.”

In an interview with People last year, Belinda spoke about facing ageism in the music industry.

“I’m an older singer now and I have to make a lot of preparations,” she explained ahead of her Decades tour, which will take place in the United States in the summer. “I used to take my voice for granted, but I don’t do that at all anymore.”

“I’m very lucky to be able to continue doing it, but I have to be careful,” he continued.

“I mean, when I’m on the road, I travel with three humidifiers and I have all these rituals that I do just to keep my voice healthy when I’m working,” she added.

For more than two decades, the Grammy nominee has been traveling the world with her husband, Morgan Mason.

She explained that her experience facing ageism in the music industry influenced her decision to take a break from her career.

“My record company dropped me when I turned 40 and singing was the only thing I really knew how to do,” he explained.

“Of course I was mortified and panicked,” she recalls. “But then I thought, ‘Well, who am I?’ It started out as the most interesting part of my life – I’d always been defined by what I did, so I knew there was something more to it.”

“What I initially thought was a disaster turned out to be a great gift,” she said of the trip.

A few months earlier, Carlisle returned to pop music and released her new EP titled Kismet, which is a critically acclaimed five-song collaboration with award-winning songwriter Diane Warren, on May 12.
