Regional music festival Groovin the Moo is on its first national tour since 2019 — but not to all locations
The Groovin the Moo folk music festival will be held nationwide this year, with six performances scheduled across the country in April and May.
This is the first time in four years that the traveling festival has been able to visit Western Australia since Covid restrictions canceled performances there.
Meanwhile, the festival, which began in 2005, has moved the concert in Queensland from Townsville to the Sunshine Coast.

In a statement announcing the festival, the organizers blamed the change of venue in Queensland on “logistical challenges and mounting financial pressures”.
No artists have been confirmed for the shows.
The series of concerts will kick off in Wayville, SA, on April 21 before traveling to Maitland, NSW, on April 22, followed by a show in Canberra, ACT, on April 23.
Next up is Bendigo, Victoria, on April 29, before the Sunshine Coast concert on April 30, with the tour concluding on May 6 in Bunbury, Washington.

In 2020, GTM had to cancel all six national dates across April and May due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Last year, Groovin the Moo was able to stage gigs in Bendigo, Maitland and Canberra after the Covid outbreak led to cancellations of shows in Townsville, Wayville and Bunbury.
The 2022 lineup included Hilltop Hoods, Wolf Alice, Broods, and Middle Kids.

Past years of the festival have introduced controversial tests on the pill.
Doctors, alchemists, and counselors tested the contents of the pills that the party-goers took to the venue.
Potential drug users are then given a clear indication of what is in their drugs.
