Brittney Griner is set to write a book about her 10-month captivity in Russia. The basketball star player announced this on Tuesday.
The book, whose title is not yet known, is scheduled to be published in 2024. In it, Griner wants to describe her “surreal experience” and the “terrifying aspects of everyday life,” as the American explained in a statement.
Griner was sentenced to nine years in prison for drug smuggling by a Russian court in early August 2022 and released in a spectacular prisoner exchange in December.
