YeahArchers have made the grim discovery of a body in the search for Hang Xue, 20, who was reported missing in a remote part of a national park overnight.
Mr. Xue was last seen on Friday around 12:30 p.m. in Lennards Island in Beowa National Park near Eden on the south coast of New South Wales.
The body was found 1.8 nautical miles northeast of Lennards Island at around 10:20 a.m. on Saturday.
Searchers have made the grim discovery of a body, believed to be that of 20-year-old Hang Xue, who was reported missing in a remote part of a national park overnight.
After Xue disappeared pPolice and his family said they had serious concerns because he did not speak English fluently and did not know how to swim.
Thus, an extensive search operation began using the resources of the Marine Area Command, Maritime Rescue and SES.
He was also minimally dressed to survive the elements, wearing only a white T-shirt, a white puffer jacket with two black stripes down the front, black jeans, and black flip-flops.
Marine Rescue NSW inspector Glenn Sullivan said volunteers from Eden and Merimbula resumed a parallel line search at 9am in what were “favourable conditions”.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.

An extensive search effort involving local agencies and volunteers located the body around 10:20 a.m. on Saturday.
