“I’m about to go home, literally in six days,” she told The West Live.

However, she promised to come back, adding: “I’m going back for work and… [to] see my family. So I’ll be gone for a few months, but then I’ll be back!’

She revealed that her pets will stay with her assistant in Australia until she returns.

After completing her project in the US, she heads to Europe for one more shoot before returning to Down Under.

“I can tell you this: I’m in Paris,” Kate said of her European project, but gave no further details.

However, her designation strongly hinted at her involvement in the second season of Netflix hit Emily in Paris.

Kate played Emily’s boss Madeline in the first season.

During her 15 months in Australia, the Private Practice star has rooted in Perth, on the west coast of the country.

She found herself “stuck” in the Southern Hemisphere last March, just as the Covid pandemic was beginning to shut down international travel.

Kate soon fell for the country and decided not to return to New York.

She told The Daily Telegraph about her love affair with Australia: ‘I didn’t want to go back to New York in the middle of a pandemic, when it was quite gnarly to say the least.

“I couldn’t go home at first, and now that I can, I don’t feel like going back.

“When my own mother says, don’t come home, my 86-year-old mother…we are in a very challenging time!”
