A representative said that both Gretchen and Skylar did well after delivering the C-section to a hospital in Orange County.
Gretchen also announced the new addition on social media on Wednesday.
& # 39; God is awesome !! Skylar Gray Smiley arrived safely in this world today! Most wonderful and emotional day of my life! I'm also doing well of course I have some pain from the c-section, but it was all so worth it!, & She wrote on Twitter and Instagram.
Worth the effort: the 40-year-old former star of The Real Housewives Of Orange County, shown in Beverly Hills, California in May, welcomed Skylar Gray via a C-section delivery

New addition: Slade, shown in June 2018 with Gretchen in Las Vegas, also has two sons from a previous relationship
On Tuesday she took an emotional video on social media to talk about her delivery plan. & # 39; I am completely in trouble now, & # 39; she began to say.
& # 39; I am crying for the past two hours. I know this sounds so stupid, but today's appointment with the doctor was very traumatic for me because they had to take this pelvic exam to see where my cervix was, whether I was dilated or not, and it really was incredibly painful. & # 39;
& # 39; I started crying so much and it hurt so much that I got a bit of a panic attack because I got dizzy and I felt I couldn't breathe. I am clearly not doing well. & # 39;
She kept talking about her doctor and Slade asked her to reconsider a C-section because it & # 39; good & # 39; is.
Well done: Gretchen, shown with Slade in Los Angeles in November 2018, cried after she learned that her delivery plan had been changed to a C-section
& # 39; It's the safest for me and the baby right now because [the doctor] says I have a steel cervix and won't open. & # 39;
The reality star has been frank about her journey to have children and has become pregnant with IVF in the past.
& # 39; We have been busy trying to start a family & # 39 ;, she said People back in 2016.
Glammed up: the former RHOC star got a glamor for her C-section and shared a video with Slade in the hospital
& # 39; It has been a good two to two and a half years to actively try to have a baby. To be honest, that was very difficult for us because he had a vasectomy and so of course we couldn't get pregnant super-fast. & # 39;
& # 39; So we did IVF first and we had such great results at the beginning and then, the day before they were supposed to implant all of the embryos – we had 14 embryos – what actually happened , they were arrested, meaning they all died, & # 39; Rossi said of her journey.
& # 39; That was very discouraging for us and it was extremely draining emotionally, physically and mentally. & # 39;
Reality star: Gretchen is shown with Heather Dubrow and Lydia McLaughlin during the RHOC season eight reunion in July 2013
