Australian golf legend Greg Norman has opened up to life in the United States amid the pandemic and says he wants to come home.

The two-time Open Championship winner appeared on Today on Wednesday morning and spoke of his plans to return to Australia and lamented the ongoing lockdowns for his compatriots at home.

“I am saddened that Australia is going through another lockdown. It’s supposed to paralyze businesses, it hurts people, it’s tough,” he told the show from his Florida home.

Norman also spoke of the famous nude photos of him that have become legendary on social media, saying he’s just a “very natural person.”

The golfing legend, who spent 331 weeks as the world’s No. 1 golfer, said things are moving to bring his life and businesses back home in “four or five years.”

‘I have a few things to finalize. I will definitely go back to Down Under,” he said Wednesday morning.

“I’ve always wanted to go home and I’ve said very vocally that I want to be buried in my homeland or that my ashes should be scattered in my homeland,” he said.

“That’s a bit grim,” Karl Stefanovic replied, laughing. “The Great White Shark wants to go home to die.”

The 66-year-old says he had to settle in the United States for his business interests, but admitted he was desperate for a home.

“I miss the people, I miss the products, I miss the coffee, I miss the sounds, I miss the smells,” he said of Australia.

“There’s so much more I want to do at home. I missed Australia, but I couldn’t stay there and do what I’ve been doing in my business career.”

“Come here, you’ll be working out with me for six weeks, I’ve got you a pair of blue shorts that I wore to the beach,” Norman said, referring to the famous photo showing his gift.

Norman also spoke of the famous nude photos of him that have become legendary on social media, saying he’s just a “very natural person.”

“Aussies are very outgoing, here in the United States someone would raise their eyebrows for that,” he told Today.

‘I was at Augusta for Sirius FM radio and they asked me to take it down [a nude picture] because they didn’t want the Masters to talk about it.’

He then suggested Karl go with him to the US and get the Today host in shape so he could shoot nudes himself.

“Come here, you’ll be working out with me for six weeks, I’ve got you a pair of blue shorts that I wore to the beach,” Norman said, referring to the famous photo showing his gift.

“Maybe I need surgery,” Karl replied.
