The New York Giants are mourning the loss of former Pro Bowl center Greg Larson, following his death at the age of 84.
Larson played for the Giants for 13 seasons and missed just three games in that time, and was recently named one of the team’s top 100 players of all time.

The former NFL lineman spent his final years at a senior center in Plymouth, Minnesota, after returning to his home state at the end of his career.
Larson married Josephine Blegen, ‘the love of his life’, in 1961 and they had four children: Karin, Barton, Michael and Christopher, and seven grandchildren.
Greg Larson has passed away at the age of 84. In later life, he traded the NFL gridiron for the golf course.
Larson (wearing number 53) was a member of the New York Giants for 13 years and missed three games.
Although he enjoyed a successful NFL career, his passion later in life is noted to have been golf, and he won several club championships.
For the Giants, Larson played in 179 games between 1961 and 1973, which at the time was the second-most in team history, behind Joe Morrison.
Giants president John Mara recently spoke about Larson at the team’s “Giants 100” event, noting, “He was our leader, our captain and one of the most popular players we had.
“A great all-round player. He truly personified what it meant to be a giant in that era.”
