Packers ‘Aaron Rodgers’ misses training with injured right thumb for SECOND straight week’ as Green Bay gears up for commanders
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers again missed practice on Wednesday due to an injury to his right thumb Ian Rapoport.
Rodgers also missed a practice day last week to deal with the injury, but was still able to play in the 27-10 loss to the New York Jets.
He originally injured his thumb two weeks ago when he tried to throw a salute at the end of the game against the New York Giants.

During the game against the Jets, Rodgers got quite a few hits that probably didn’t help his hand recover.
Towards the end of the match, Rodgers was benched in favor of Jordan Love to avoid further punishment once the match spiraled out of control.
He was also not the only member of the offense to be hit during the loss.
Veteran wide receiver Randall Cobb was discharged during the game and is expected to miss an extended period as he recovers from an ankle injury.
Given that rookie Christian Watson is also out with a hamstring injury, it looks like the Packers attack could be severely limited as they take on the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
The Commanders themselves will also miss their starting QB after Carson Wentz was ruled out for 6-8 weeks with a finger injury.
