A British couple who caught £ 161 million in the EuroMillions jackpot eight years ago have their & # 39; amicable & # 39; divorce completed – after having lived in separate townhouses for a year.
Colin and Christine Weir received a divorce by a judge at the Edinburgh court, just days after their former £ 3 million house was offered for sale.
The couple, from the resort of Largs in Ayreshire, had been married for 38 years and had two now grown-up children together before they announced their divorce in April.
& # 39; People in their hometown Largs had already talked about rumors about their split last summer & # 39 ;, a friend told The sun.

The couple & # 39; drifted apart & # 39; when Mr. Weir (71) went to Partick Thistle games, while his wife (62) went to charity events.
A statement in April said: & # 39; It is with great regret that Chris and Colin Weir confirm that they have been separated for some time and intend to divorce amicably.
& # 39; They request that the privacy of the family is currently respected and no further comments will be made. & # 39;
Mr. Weir transferred his £ 3 million mansion in Troon to his wife last August. She sold it just a few weeks later and Mr. Weir moved to a £ 1.5 million waterfront home.
Officially divorcing in May, a friend described their marital problems as a & # 39; bit of an open secret & # 39; for those who lived in the area.

& # 39; It's a real shame because they have clearly been through so much together, & # 39; the friend added.
It comes after lottery winners Adrian Bayford and wife Gillian split up after their £ 148 million win in 2012.
The pair only split 15 months after they won the jackpot.
And while the following two Bayford relationships were doomed to fail, his ex-wife married a convicted scammer last August.
Weir is now working on an offer to buy control of his local football club the Jags to prevent a proposed US takeover.
