The desperate search continues for a girl who has been missing for a week.

Jalama Buchanan, 15, was last seen in Erskineville, in Sydney’s inner west, around 1.30pm on Christmas Eve.

Concerned loved ones alerted police four days later after failing to locate or make contact with Jalama.

Police have appealed to the public to come forward with any information in the coming week.

‘The police and family are very concerned for his well-being.

Ms Buchanan is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance.

He is about 160 cm tall, has long dark hair and a medium build.

It is known to frequent the inner west of Sydney and the northern coast of New South Wales.

Sydney suburbs in Redfern, Waterloo and Erskineville.

The North Coast region of New South Wales includes Casino, Wauchope, Coffs Harbor and Taree.
