Two teenagers have been killed in an accident involving dirt bikes in Melbourne’s west.

At least two dirt bikes, including a quad, were involved in the accident, in the suburb of Grangefields, when the collision happened around 6.35pm on Sunday.

An 18-year-old woman died instantly, while a 17-year-old boy died later in hospital.

A 6-year-old boy and an 11-year-old boy were quickly taken to hospital due to the severity of their injuries. Additionally, a 43-year-old man was hospitalized, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police said at least two dirt bikes and potentially a quad were traveling on Beattys Rd in Grangefields when they collided.

The police are appealing to any witnesses who may have filmed the incident.

“The exact circumstances of the collision have not yet been established and police are appealing for assistance as the investigation continues,” police said.
