A grandmother in her sixties with an impressive six-pack claims that her stunning physique often attracts admiring looks from men who often say her biceps are bigger than theirs – but insists that her husband doesn't mind.
Lynda Jager, 61, from Ontario, Canada, started working with the gym in her thirties and says bodybuilding competitions have boosted her confidence.
The married medical office manager and personal trainer, who has six grandchildren, became enthusiastic for the first time to shape her figure when she was in her twenties, with a goal to become stronger.
But only ten years later did she have the confidence to go to a gym, where she became interested in bodybuilding.

In the coming years, she was encouraged by her fellow gym visitors and husband Mark, 55, to participate in competitions.
But it took her 20 years to feel confident enough to do her first show – at which point she was 51 – and she is now bodybuilding champion five times.
Now Lynda – who is the grandmother of Max, seven, Ella, five, Victoria, three, Georgia, two, Jack, one and Nora – feels 11 months more confident than she has ever been.
& # 39; My husband loves my appearance, & # 39; said Lynda. & # 39; He knows I get admiring looks and comments from other men, but it doesn't bother him. He has a lot of faith in our relationship.

& # 39; He usually wipes it away and doesn't say too much. He leaves it to me to deal with it, if it is unwanted attention.
& # 39; Sometimes I think they flirt when they don't know he's in the room and stop quickly when they realize he's my husband. & # 39;
Lynda said her doctor encouraged her to practice more when she was in her late teens because she was often tired, anxious and very shy.

She didn't like team sports, so tried to train at home in her parents' basement.
& # 39; I would follow shows on TV and learn from them, & # 39; she remembered. & # 39; The more I started seeing results, the more results I wanted to see, and that kept me going.
& # 39; I enjoyed strength training the most and I continued this in my twenties and thirties. It gave me a strong feeling and I started to feel more confident.
& # 39; I became so interested that I constantly read books and magazines about strength training and bodybuilding.

After a decade of training at home, Lynda found the courage to go to a gym because she felt her weight training was limited by doing it at home.
& # 39; I was always attracted by the images in magazines and on TV of strong women who looked healthy and fit and really wanted to do the same with my body, & # 39; she said.

Before she started competing, Lynda did not want to stand in front of large groups of people.
& # 39; The first time I stepped on stage, I thought I'd faint and almost didn't, & # 39; she admitted. & # 39; The girl behind me actually had to give me a push to get me on stage.

& # 39; In the beginning I was a bit of a closet trainer, because weightlifting and muscles were sometimes considered odd in women and not the & # 39; standard & # 39;, & # 39; she explained.
& # 39; I would hide my muscles to avoid the comments. We have come a long way since then and realize that muscles in women are healthy.
& # 39; I actually get a lot of comments about my body; most responses are positive, with men and women saying that I have large arms and shoulders.

& # 39; Sometimes I think that certain men are a bit intimidated by my appearance.
& # 39; I receive comments such as: & # 39; Your biceps are larger than mine & # 39; and & # 39; You look so strong, I bet you can beat me up & # 39;. & # 39;
