Gossip Girl star Chanel Banks proved she’s not lost in dramatic fashion by sharing a YouTube video teasing an upcoming tell-all interview about her “toxic” family.
The actress, 36, was reported missing earlier this month by her family after claiming they had not heard from her in two weeks, before she was found safe in Texas on Monday.
When she was discovered, Banks said she was fleeing her family to be baptized by the apocalyptic pastor Robert Clancey, who had recently announced a three-day ‘end-times prophetic meeting’ in Texas.
She previously said she was not missing in a since-deleted Instagram post and said she was “finally free”, but her family bizarrely claimed she was being impersonated by an imposter.
In an apparent attempt to refute the claims, Banks shared a YouTube video of herself preparing to speak about the bizarre saga, telling fans: “As you can see, I’m alive.”
“The interview is loading,” she added while looking at the camera with her face completely made up.
Banks also updated her Instagram bio to say: ‘I’M NOT MISSING. I just want to be free from a toxic woman and her family. INCOMING INTERVIEW.’

He also claimed that his family “literally stood outside my house to lie to the press after breaking into my house,” and “literally ignored the police, telling them to leave me alone.”
His family also allegedly embezzled money “for a fraudulent and since-closed GoFundMe,” “covered my neighborhood with missing signs when I never disappeared,” and “completely ruined my life” by contacting his peers.
“I figure you all can see why I had to stay away from these bottom-dwelling scammers,” he wrote.

He offered a similarly scathing take on her since-deleted Instagram post, as Banks explained that she was never missing but didn’t tell her family she was leaving because she was looking for an “opportunity to escape.”
“I met with the police and verified that not only am I okay, but I am finally free,” he wrote.
‘They once said, you are free in Christ Jesus, you are really free, so I told my husband six days ago that he was going to be baptized by one of my favorite pastors, Pastor Robert Clancy.’
After sharing her YouTube clip teasing an interview, Banks shared another Instagram post giving fans a look behind the scenes, with the caption: “I heard you were looking for me, now what?”
The actress included several other images of her preparing for the interview and a cryptic image of Jesus with a heartbreak emoji.
Banks’ efforts to prove she was still alive came after her cousin Danielle-Tori Singh publicly questioned whether the ‘Chanel’ found by police in Texas was actually the actress and not an imposter.

Singh said an update from the Los Angeles Police Department on Banks’ whereabouts was “fake news” and insisted on ABC7 that he would continue posting “missing persons” flyers.
“I have the TPD body camera footage that they showed us on Monday, November 11 at the Pacific Police Station in Los Angeles,” Singh added in an Instagram Story.

Singh then appeared to tease Banks’ YouTube video by adding in her post, “This is why @ohhheychanel won’t post a video saying she’s safe because she’s not Chanel.”
The strange exchanges between Banks and her cousin continued as Singh told ABC7 that the actress “doesn’t go more than 48 hours without talking to me or her mom… That girl is more like a big sister to me.”
Banks claimed in her Instagram post that she had not spoken to her cousin, who lives in Canada but flew to the United States to help in the search, for “over 15 years.”
