Ezra Miller’s role as District Attorney Sinclair in the Amazon Prime animated series Invincible has been quietly recast amid the troubled star’s numerous controversies as of 2020.
The Flash star, 31, who recently made a rare public appearance in Hollywood, voiced the character in the show’s first season.
However, Canadian voice actor Eric Bauza has now taken on the role for the second season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Bauza is no stranger when it comes to the world of animation, and is known for appearing in other projects such as The Adventures of Puss in Boots and also Looney Tunes Cartoons.
The second season of Invincible began airing late last year, in November 2023, and the finale will air next month, on April 4.

DA Sinclair returned to the series this week in Thursday’s episode titled: I’m Not Going Anywhere.
Other stars who voice characters on the show include Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, Zazie Beatz, JK Simmons, Mark Hamill, Seth Rogen and also Zachary Quinto.
The premise is “based on the Skybound/Image comic about a teenager whose father is the most powerful superhero on the planet,” according to an official. IMDB synopsis.
Most recently, Miller, who uses they/them pronouns, took on a lead role in the 2023 film The Flash, which was a box office flop.
The film had been called by James Gunn “the best superhero movie ever made”, but ultimately grossed around $270 million at the worldwide box office, after having grossed only $55 million during its opening weekend.
Calls were made for Ezra to be recast in the DC film due to the actor’s various legal problems, but director Andy Muschietti defended keeping them in the film.
The filmmaker said entertainment weekly, “We have a lot of empathy in general with people who need help, and especially with mental health issues.”
“That’s why they are taking the necessary steps to address their recovery, and we support them in that.”

Controversies surrounding Ezra began in 2020 when a video allegedly showed Miller choking a woman while at a bar located in Reykjavik, Iceland.
Two years later, they were arrested multiple times for assault and robbery, and were also accused of grooming children.
Ezra was accused of inappropriate behavior by the parents of 12-year-old non-binary boy Tokata Iron Eyes (now 20), and also claimed that the star had bullied the family.
That same year, they shared a statement to apologize and also revealed that they were receiving treatment for ‘complex mental health issues.’
“Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering from complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Miller’s representatives said, according to Variety.
“I want to apologize to everyone who has alarmed and upset me with my past behavior.”
In conclusion, Ezra added: “I am committed to doing the work necessary to return to a healthy, safe and productive stage of my life.”
In June of last year, a temporary protective order against Miller in the state of Massachusetts was withdrawn. At the time, Miller issued a statement on her Instagram page addressing the lifting of the TPO.

“Protection orders are intended to provide safety to individuals, families and children who are in danger.”
The Perks Of Being A Wallflower star then added: “I have been unfairly and directly attacked by an individual who the facts have shown has a history of such manipulative and destructive actions…”
Later in the statement, Miller said, “I want everyone to know that I continue to do everything I can to preserve my own well-being and what I can to reverse the collateral damage this ordeal has caused on me and my loved ones.”

Miller had been on the path to a budding career before controversies came to light, such as starring alongside Logan Lerman and Emma Watson in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower (2012).

Last year in June, Miller made a rare appearance on the Hollywood red carpet at the premiere of The Flash.
A month earlier, director Andy Muschietti revealed that Ezra could possibly take on the role once again if a sequel to The Flash were made.
During an interview at Speech On the podcast, the filmmaker stated, “If (a sequel) happens, yes, (Ezra would play The Flash). I don’t think there’s anyone who can play that character as well as them.”
