The Google Pixel 4 is being discontinued, however Amazon, Best Buyand B&H Photo apparently had enough inventory left to launch a coordinated sale, putting the 64 GB and 128 GB models each $ 250 lower than their original prices. Both Best Buy and B&H Photo have the unlocked Pixel 4 with 64 GB of storage in “plain black” and “plain white” for $ 549. Amazon is currently offering the deal for the black phone only. For $ 100 more, you can get the 128 GB model. Unfortunately, the larger Pixel 4 XL is not looped through here.
The best deal we saw for the smaller Pixel 4 model was back in April when it dropped to $ 499. You can technically get that price from Best Buy now, but only if you’re willing to activate the phone with a carrier when you buy it. If you’re looking for the best price and the most choice, check out B&H Photo where the phone comes with a clear case for free. It’s nothing fancy, but having a case to put the Pixel 4 right out of the box is something some people might want to do.
Google discontinued the Pixel 4 just a few days after it announced the Pixel 4A, a $ 349 pre-order phone that will be released on August 20. Rather than matching the Pixel 4’s high-end Snapdragon 855 processor and gimmicky Motion Sense feature for hand gesture-based navigation, the Pixel 4A limits its focus to lowering the entry-level price of purchasing Google’s great camera and software . So not only is raw power still a good reason to choose the Pixel 4 over 4A, but the more expensive device offers wireless charging, water resistance and a fast refresh rate.
