The Google I/O 2023 is on 10th of May and so you can look forward to new hardware ideas again. In addition to the Pixel Tablet and the Pixel 7a, one performance is particularly eagerly awaited – the Google Pixel Fold.
All sorts of rumors and information are already circulating on the internet about the internet giant’s first foldable smartphone. According to a leaker, it is now known when the foldable will appear and how much it will cost. So much in advance: It will be expensive.
Presentation in May and release at the end of June
Leaker and YouTuber Jon Prosser assumes that the Pixel Fold will be presented at Google I/O on May 10th. After the presentation, it will be possible to pre-order the foldable from the Google Store.
Distributors turn up May 30th. The Google Pixel Fold will then be available from June 27th.

However, this is not the only information that Prosser shares via his Twitter channel. According to his information, the Pixel Fold will cost 1,800 euros. This puts it right next to the Samsung Galaxy Fold 4.
Yogesh Brar, a leaker from India, tweeted just a few weeks ago that he expects the Pixel Fold to be priced between €1,300 and €1,500.

The costs that have to be put into the development and production of foldable phones are quite a bit higher than regular smartphones, which is why the prices for them are higher.
On top of that comes the surcharge for a still relatively young device class with great interest. Unfortunately, therefore, the real price could be closer to Prosser’s imagination than it is to Brar’s. We won’t be certain until May 10th.
What price do you estimate for the Google Pixel Fold? And which one do you think it should have? The pixel smartphones have always scored with a very competitive price-performance ratio. So the question arises whether their first foldable can continue this trend. Write us your opinion on the topic in the comments!
