Google is holding an event today to launch the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2. While today is Google’s official announcement, a constant stream of leaks, in addition to Google’s own teasers, has left little to the imagination.
We expect the Pixel 8 Pro to come with the same 6.7-inch display as the Pixel 7 Pro, while the standard Pixel 8 could have a slightly smaller 6.17-inch display compared to its predecessor. Both phones are rumored to also receive some notable improvements to their cameras, and the Pixel 8 Pro could also have a new body temperature sensor.
The Watch 2 should also receive some design changes. There’s a new crown and an updated sensor suite, both of which Google showed off in its teaser, and we also expect the device to come with some features carried over from the Fitbit Sense 2. The watch is rumored to support Fitbit Body Responses. feature that’s supposed to detect when you’re stressed, along with a multipath heart rate sensor, support for more exercises, and a new Safety Check option.
