Four years A while back, Google mistakenly posted my restaurant business details, including phone number and address, in the search results for “how to contact Google.” in the United Kingdom”.
At first I only received a few calls from people trying to get through, but now I receive up to 300. a week, even on my personal cell phone, plus messages and letters. I have more than 130 voice messages.
I feel compelled to answer every call because it could be a potential client. This situation leaves me tired and anxious and has turned running my business into a nightmare. I have tried to contact Google on numerous occasions, but no one answers me.

You want customers to be able to find your restaurant on Google, not instead of Google, and this listing error has led to several years of unnecessary harassment.
When I first contacted Google, they recommended that I use the “feedback” button at the bottom of search results. When I suggested this, they replied in a weary voice that they had done this many times before and had not gotten any results. So I went back to Google and this time they did some research.
Google says: “We have looked into the issue in accordance with our search policies and have taken action, and can confirm that this phone number will no longer appear for this query.”
He is relieved that the calls from Google have finally stopped and grateful for my help, but feels that he could have at least offered an apology for the inconvenience he has suffered.
