A short distance from where the car was stolen, the suspect pulled the child out of the car and left him on a nearby street where he was later found by a good Samaritan.

“I didn’t see any relatives around and he was crying a bit, so I thought I better watch him,” Darrel Everman told ABC News.

“I felt it was important to keep him calm, so I acted like nothing major was happening.

“I was driving to my storage unit over there on State Avenue and I looked to my right and there’s a kid about five feet up the road. I knew it was wrong. I was concerned. He looked like he needed help and I was happy to be there to help him,’ Everman said.

“I’m glad he’s okay. I thank God he put me in the difficult position of finding him. I was glad I made the right decisions to help him.
