Richard Madeley suffered an awkward gaffe when interviewing Jennie McAlpine, as he accidentally aged her four years and Kate Garraway was forced to intervene.
During Monday’s edition of Good Morning Britain, Jennie, 40, appeared as a guest on the show to discuss her role as Fizz Dobbs on the cobbles for the past 23 years.
However, Richard awkwardly aged the actress four years later while commenting on how long she has been a part of the show.
During the interview, Richard said: ‘You’ve been on Corrie longer than Hilda Ogden and Elsie Tanner. Does it feel like 27 years?’
The actress then rolled her eyes and looked irritated as she remained silent before Kate stepped in to correct Richard saying, “23 years.”

However, Richard awkwardly aged the actress by four years when talking about how long she’s been a part of the show.
Richard then quickly apologized to Jennie saying, “I’m sorry, 23 years old, does that feel like 23 years old?”
To which Jennie replied: “23 yeah, don’t make me look so old, Richard.”
This comes after Jennie admitted she hasn’t ruled out having another child because she “loves babies.”
The actress welcomed a baby girl, Doris, in April last year with husband Chris Farr, and held off on publicly announcing her birth in order to enjoy the newborn bubble for five months.
Jennie, who has played Fiz Dobbs on the show since 2002, is also the proud mother of nine-year-old Albert and five-year-old Hilda.
“Some people love diamonds, I love babies. It’s chaos at home and my dressing room mirror at work is literally covered in sticky notes with things I need to do, but still, I can’t promise we’ll take a break now,” she said. The mirror.
“I love that TV show 22 Kids & Counting. I can’t be that, but there’s a long way between three and 22, so I can’t say for sure, ‘No more.'”

Jennie added that if she hadn’t been an actress, she would have loved to be a midwife, and even has her sights set on doing a show like Emma Willis’ Delivering Babies.
Previously on Coronation Street, Tyrone’s cheating ex Alina Pop (played by Ruxandra Porojnicu) bumped into Fiz in the car park of Freshco supermarket.
And Tyrone’s discovery that he has a child with Alina “puts a spoke in the wheel” of his relationship with Fiz.
During her initial time on the cobbles, Alina was at the centre of a story about modern slavery which led to her moving to the UK through a human trafficking ring.
When she got pregnant, Tyrone told her he would stay with Fiz.
A devastated Alina told the mechanic that she would return to Romania to raise her son alone.
He is now back in Weatherfield as a witness in a trial against drug dealers.
This comes after Jennie admitted she hasn’t ruled out having another child because she “loves babies” (pictured on Loose Women in January 2023).

Tyrone and Fiz had their first on-screen kiss in 2001 and went on to date twenty years later.
However, they broke up after he had an affair with Alina.
After the two characters kissed, Tyrone dumped Fiz and declared his love for Alina.
He eventually married Fiz on Christmas Day 2022.
