Ben, 49, is leaving the show after almost a decade to become the face of This Morning alongside Cat Deeley.

Ben’s replacement for “most Fridays” until May has been revealed, sitting in his chair next to Kate Garraway.

Lingo host Adil Ray took to his X page to give his 150,000 followers some good news.

He wrote: ‘Starting Friday, I’ll be back on @gmb most Fridays until the end of May. The first execution will be the next three Fridays until the Easter holidays. hI hope you will join me.

Adil continued: ‘In the current climate, it seems like a huge privilege to be on morning television. I’d love for you to join us from 6am Thank you.’

The presenter, 49, temporarily replaced Piers Morgan in 2018 before returning the following year for a continuing gig as guest presenter.

Ben’s last show on GMB occurred on February 23rd.And it was really moving. Several of Ben’s friends and former colleagues from throughout his 26-year career came to surprise him.

An emotional Ben said: “One of the hardest decisions, of course, is knowing that my mornings with Kate, my on-screen wife of almost 20 years, are coming to an end.”

Addressing the recent loss of her beloved husband Derek Draper, Ben continued: “Her journey has been well documented and I think we would all agree how extraordinary she has been over the past four years.

“I won’t miss out, but I’ve learned a lot from her, as well as from everyone I’ve been lucky enough to work with.”

It has been decided that he and Cat, 47, will officially replace Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning from March 11, after months of negotiations.

Cat, in particular, was struggling to choose between the breakfast show and her £43,000-per-episode presenting gig in America.
