PGA Tour star Michael Kim has put life at the top of the golf world behind him, revealing he spent almost $100,000 traveling to tournaments in 2024.
The world number 151 has won once on the PGA Tour since joining golf’s elite in 2016.
The 31-year-old has earned just over $7 million in his career, including $1.48 million during the 2024 season.
Kim has played in 30 tournaments in the past 12 months – reaching just over half – and recently posted details of his expenses on just traveling to and staying at events.
“Here’s my expenses on flights and hotels for 30 tournaments in 2024,” Kim wrote alongside a screenshot of his $92,698.11 payment.
Remarkably, most of his travel was spent in economy class seats.

‘Zero dollars spent on private flights, and rarely in business class. I can’t imagine the cost of the top guys,” Kim added, before joking, “At least I’m saving some CC (credit cart) points!”
He added: “Last year it was a little bit higher because I went to the Open Championship and played 32 events.”
Kim recently finished tied for 11th at the RSM Classic in Georgia when he shot 12 under par in his four rounds.
His best finish came at the Shriners Children’s Open in October, when he finished tied for fifth. He did not appear in any of the four major championships.
By comparison, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler took his 2024 earnings to $29,228,357 with a $1 million win at the Hero World Challenge.
