An award-winning brewery has entered voluntary administration after the company faced financial difficulties.
Golden West Brewing Co, located in Perth, collapsed and the company was forced to lay off staff mid-shift last Wednesday.
Managers only kept the brewing team on the job to finish processing the beer already in the tanks so the beverage could be packaged and sold.
Golden West was founded in 2021 in Leederville, in Perth’s inner west, by a group of five schoolmates.

The company’s website informed beer lovers that its location has been temporarily suspended but that consumers can still purchase drinks by contacting them directly.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Golden West Brewing Co for comment.
A source close to the company told Perth Now cost of living pressures left the company with no option but to close.
It is also believed that the company was unable to stay afloat due to the closure of several breweries in Sydney and Adelaide.
More to come.
