Larry Emdur has broken his silence on alleged harassment by an obsessed fan after reports surfaced that he “lives in fear.”

The 59-year-old Morning Show host took to Instagram on Monday to criticise tabloid magazines for publishing sensational headlines about the matter.

He assured fans that he is “doing well” and is still “in a positive frame of mind” before adding that headlines claiming he and his family are “in danger” are “simply not correct.”

“I just wanted to get my hands dirty and figure something out quickly. There’s a lot of buzz in the magazines about this,” Emdur said in the video.

The Chase presenter then held up a magazine to show the column written about her alleged stalker and reports that NSW Police have taken out an AVO to protect Emdur.

“Notice to stalker. Leave Larry alone!” Emdur read. “This is all very serious business. Larry Emdur, living in fear.” I just wanted you to know I’m okay!

“I’m more than fine. I’m still in the glow of the Logies and I’m loving it. The Morning Show is going really well, The Chase is going really well, my whisky is going really well.

“Everything in my life is absolutely fantastic. So when you read something like ‘Larry Emdur lives in fear. His family is in danger,’ it’s not right.”

He added: “It’s not what’s going on in my life… Anyway, thank you for your concern. I’m completely fine 100 percent. Everything is business as usual.”

This comes just days after Daily Mail Australia revealed the real reason Emdur disappeared from The Morning Show after news of an alleged stalker broke.

The Gold Logie winner was absent from his breakfast show last Wednesday after it was reported that Victorian man Rodney Pearce allegedly tried to enter the Seven building.

However, sources at the network assured Daily Mail Australia that Emdur was on a pre-arranged break from The Morning Show to film the upcoming season of The Chase.

They said the tireless artist remains in good spirits and hopes to “get on with the job” with minimal distractions.

NSW Police were called to Seven’s Eveleigh headquarters at around 11.15am on August 22 after Victorian man Rodney Pearce allegedly attempted to enter the building.

“Officers from the South Sydney Police Area Command attended and spoke to a 52-year-old man who had been escorted out of the building by security,” NSW Police said.

Pearce was arrested and taken to hospital for assessment before being transferred to Surry Hills Police Station.

He was charged with trespassing and possession of a prohibited drug.

Pearce appeared at Downing Centre Local Court where he was granted conditional bail and is due to reappear on 5 September.

Their conditions include not entering Central Ave, the Haymarket suburb, or coming within 200 metres of Canal Seven.

The 52-year-old was also ordered to report daily to Redfern Police Station.

Court records show the AVO for the protection of Emdur will be mentioned in court on September 16.

The arrest came just days after Emdur claimed the title at the 2024 Logies on August 18.

After four decades on screen, the TV personality finally took home the Gold Logie and her first Silver Logie.
