A teenage boy is fighting for his life and three others have been injured after a late-night horror involving an allegedly stolen vehicle on the Gold Coast.

Police were called to the intersection of Frank Street Marine Parade in Labrador at 12:25 p.m. Thursday following reports of a two-car accident.

An allegedly stolen Mazda CX3 ran a red light and collided with a Mazda 3 at high speed, forcing the other vehicle into the guardrail, according to witnesses.

The Mazda CX3 had reportedly been stolen in Surfers Paradise just minutes earlier, according to Queensland Police.

The impact of the crash caused injuries to the occupants of both vehicles as eight ambulances raced to the scene.

The male Mazda 3 driver, 17, was taken to hospital in a stable condition with lacerations.

Their critically injured male passenger, 15, was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with significant chest and pelvic injuries.

A 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl in the Mazda CX3 reportedly fled the scene after the accident.

The pair were later located by police in the nearby suburb of Southport and taken to hospital in a stable condition.
