Shocking moment ranting Brit is held down by easyJet cabin crew after 'trying to kiss male passenger on the lips' on Lisbon flight - before 'jetting home days later in woolly hat and sunglasses disguise'

This is the shocking moment a ranting Brit was restrained by cabin crew after allegedly trying to kiss a passenger on the lips on a flight to Lisbon.

The man was filmed by a fellow passenger being restrained by cabin crew members on board an EasyJet flight from Glasgow to Lisbon on February 6.

Footage shows the man being held down by a butler while he repeatedly insulted him and the rest of the staff, even threatening to hit them during his rant.

At one point, the passenger tried to stand up again, but the cabin crew calmly restrained him. This caused the man to scream and shout: ‘I will kill you, you fucking bastard.’

The incident began during the descent into Lisbon, after the “drunk” man tried to kiss a passenger, a fellow passenger said. But when he was rejected, he reportedly became “aggressive” to the point that he had to be restrained.

“The police took him away. However, I believe he was on the return flight on Saturday wearing a beanie, sunglasses and headphones,” added the anonymous witness who filmed the incident.

They said the man was reportedly drinking red wine throughout the flight, which took off from Scotland at 9.45am.

He was “very intoxicated” and “was being rude to anyone who looked in his direction and demanded to shake his hand,” the passenger said.

When the man turned to shake the hand of the man sitting directly behind him, he was ignored, which allegedly caused him to lean over his seat and attempt to “kiss the man on the lips.”

The passenger pushed the ‘drunk’ man, but he became ‘very aggressive yelling at everyone and throwing punches’.

“He was trying to attack the man he had tried to kiss, which resulted in the passengers having to restrain him,” the witness said.

“He was restrained for approximately 35 minutes before the Portuguese police were able to remove him from the plane. Even when the police came to take him away, he was trying to fight them.

An easyJet spokesperson said: “Flight EJU7670 from Glasgow to Lisbon on February 6 was met by police on arrival due to a passenger engaging in disruptive behavior on board.

‘Our cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.

‘Although these types of incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and do not tolerate abusive or threatening behavior towards our crew or other passengers.

“The safety and well-being of our customers and crew is our top priority.”

The passenger continued trying to get out of the steward's grip.

The steward and another crew member finally twisted his arm behind his back to restrain him.

This comes after another “drunk and abusive” man was detained by four passengers on board an eight-hour JetBlue flight from Gatwick Airport to New York’s JFK on January 30.

Footage showed a group of Britons, who intervened to help airline staff calm the man, struggling to restrain him.

One of them could be seen holding him in a headlock, however, the supposedly drunk passenger managed to get away.

A woman, dressed in gray sweatpants and a black T-shirt, asked the passenger holding her to remove the finger that was near the man’s eye.

She said, “Please take that out of his face,” to which he replied, “I can’t just leave it.” And she added: “No, no, no, listen, don’t tell me to stop.” A fellow traveler told the woman she should “come back now.”

Then he said, ‘Ben, Ben, stop fighting with them. He stops fighting them’, while the four passenger heroes try to stop him.

Witness Grant Saunders said the man allegedly

Witness Grant Saunders said the man allegedly “started to get worse” when the crew told the man (circled) to calm down.

The clip then showed the group standing on the narrow walkway as they sat on seats, while other passengers recorded the footage on their phones.

The man tried to escape from them, but the group managed to immobilize him and move him down the aisle of the plane, towards two members of the cabin crew.

Witness Grant Saunders He stated that the man was “drunk and was becoming loud and aggressive” as he moved around other seats on the flight. “Then when the crew asked him to calm down, he started to get worse,” he added.

The flight took off from Gatwick at 11.55am and arrived on time at 8.16pm GMT on 30 January.

JetBlue told MailOnline that the crew discovered an open bottle of liquor that the customer had brought on board. They confirmed that the man was immobilized and that authorities took care of him when they landed in New York.

“We appreciate our customers’ assistance and understanding during this incident and apologize for the experience,” the airline said.
