Josh’s sister Amy shared the happy news on her Instagram Story on Saturday when she sweetly said she had “gained a sister.”

She then posted a photo of the proposal after Josh set up red roses, candles, couple photos, and an illuminated Marry Me sign.

Amy added in another story: “Welcome to the Han family, I couldn’t wish anyone better.”

Josh and Hannah are teenage sweethearts who have been dating since they were around 17 years old.

It comes just days after Josh announced he will stand to be a Labor MP in the next election in the hope of unseating the deputy prime minister.

The TV personality, who appeared on the hit show alongside his family, revealed to his followers this week that he has been selected as a parliamentary candidate for the Hertsmere constituency.

The Hertfordshire constituency is currently represented by Deputy First Minister Oliver Dowden.

Dowden held the safe Conservative seat in the 2019 general election with an overwhelming majority of 21,313 and 62.5 per cent of the vote, so it will be an uphill fight for Tapper if he is to unseat the senior politician.

Hertsmere has only been represented by one Conservative MP since its creation in 1983, but Tapper has said he wants to be the man to reverse this trend.

Sharing the news of his selection on X, formerly Twitter, Josh told his followers: “I am thrilled and honored to have been selected as the Labor parliamentary candidate for Hertsmere.

But he decided to pursue a career in politics and public service in 2017, where the Mirror He reportedly began an apprenticeship at 10 Downing Street, a building he hopes to return to work in the coming years.

During his apprenticeship he would have worked alongside then Prime Minister Theresa May and the cabinet.

He then joined the Civil Service, but left that career in 2019 when he joined a multi-party think tank, Demos.

In 2022, Josh tried to get elected in Edgwarebury, north-west London, where he grew up, but lost by a narrow margin.

He was just 15 when he first appeared on Gogglebox, and was forced to juggle being a famous face while also “trying to live a normal life”, the Mirror reports.

He said he was “the guy who was on TV” and that his filming days coincided with his school commitments.

It comes just days after Josh announced he will run to be a Labor MP in the next election in the hope of unseating the deputy prime minister.
