Angie Kent has revealed how she discovered her true self after being in her first ‘queer’ relationship.
The Gogglebox Australia star tells this week’s edition of Star Magazine who has not been in a relationship with a man in three years.
“I always blamed myself. I thought I needed more therapy or that I wasn’t a dateable person. I’m a person who falls in love with the soul, not because of the other person’s appearance or identity,” the 34-year-old said.
“Then I had my first queer relationship and I thought, ‘Well, this is what I’ve been missing,'” she continued.
“I’m not really afraid of being alone. I don’t think my goal in life is to find my soulmate.”
Angie also said she has embraced her fluid sexuality since appearing on The Bachelorette.
“Feeling like I had to be a Barbie doll (on that show) didn’t sit well with me,” she said.

“I look back and think, who was that little human being trying to be perfect… when you’re not?” she added.
‘But I showed a side that I love, which is that women can be a little dirty and funny and stand up for themselves and still be someone you can date.
Angie previously revealed that she is pansexual.
Talking with The Herald of the Sunthe TV star who previously only dated men because society expected her to.
“I’ve always been pansexual, but I don’t think I’ve ever talked about it,” she told Confidential.

“It’s a societal thing. I never really got to explore it and now I’m like, ‘Come on, girl, get into this.'”
Pansexuality refers to an attraction to people regardless of their sex or gender identity.
“I don’t care who you are as long as we connect. Gender isn’t a big deal to me and it never has been,” Angie said.
“I’ve always dated guys because I was expected to,” she admitted.
Angie ended up choosing personal trainer and actor Carlin Sterritt as her winning suitor on The Bachelorette in 2019.
They lived together briefly in Sydney, but split after a couple of months.
In 2022, she shared on her podcast Two Girls One Pod that she went on a date with a cameraman.
“Yes, he’s lovely, I’m a big believer in not shitting where you eat. He’s one of the cameramen on a show I’m currently participating in,” she confessed.
