Gogglebox Australia star Yvie Jones addresses rumors she will appear in Married At First Sight ‘celebrity spin-off series’


Rumor has it that Channel Nine is preparing a spin-off series of Married At First Sight, exclusively featuring celebrity contestants.

And on Monday, Yvie Jones addressed rumors that she will appear in the celebrity spin-off series.

‘Absolutely not. There is a rumor that there will be a celebrity. I would never. I’d rather grate cheese over my nipples,” Yvie said.

“The regular one is bad enough, just imagine how bad a celebrity version would be,” she added.

According to New Idea, producers already have a list of celebrities they hope to cast on MAFS’s rumored new format.

The names include Richard Reid, Yvie, Ash Williams, Tully Smyth, Harry T and Paulini Curuenavuli who have been “mentioned” by casting directors.

An anonymous producer for Endemol told the magazine it was important to “change things up” for the show.

“If we want the show to go on and things change,” they told the publication.

The insider added that celebrities are lining up for a career boost due to the show’s popularity.

“The truth is, the show has made some contestants a household name, and now some household names need a career boost,” they said.
