Santa Monica Studios is getting excited about its next project, which it hinted would be a sequel to last year’s God of War Ragnarok. The studio posted a job vacancy announcement, proving that the prospect of working on a sequel to the said game is very high.
The studio posted an advertisement for several vacancies in its corridors through its website, quoting the GameRant. One of them was the need for a mid-experienced “Allied” combat system designer with at least 4 years of knowledge. The team stated that the applicant must have knowledge of one of the two games to join the studio, which are God of War, the 2018 version, and God of War Ragnarok.
The developer who will join the team will design the play style of the allies for the character “Kritos” and the skills related to them. For example, in the previous section, we saw how Atreus acted as an ally to his father, as well as Freya, each with their own way of playing and skills that are constantly evolving as they progress in the game.
The job vacancy might also be for another brand new game at the studio. But what aroused suspicion is the knowledge requirement in the aforementioned parts of the game. Unfortunately, we do not know any other information and it may still be too early to judge what and what kind of project it is, so we will wait and see.
Judging by the end of the last part of the series, the future of the “Atreus” character may be more bright in terms of appearance compared to the character of his father, “Kritos”. What are your expectations, our followers, will you see these two again in a third part?
We should also note that series director Cory Barlog is working on a new, unannounced game project in conjunction with the studio’s work on God of War Ragnarok, which was directed by Eric Williams, while Barlog is devoted to working on this mysterious project.
